We’re baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!  I’m sorry about our absence in July, but it is August and we have a new edition of BLUES JUNCTION for your enjoyment.

My Mother, as many of you know left the choir loft for the last time, last month. She was 89 years old and led an incredible life. I conducted an interview with her on Easter Sunday earlier this year. That interview is republished here.

We have a brand-new installment of our monthly Recommended Listening feature. New CDs from all over the world are discussed.  I would like to thank our regular contributors, Charlie Lange and Jeff Scott Fleenor for their contributions.

The brand-new CD by the late Ron Thompson sits in our Monthly Album Spotlight. It is a live affair entitled From The Patio and is on the Little Village Foundation label.

We also review the upcoming Sugar Ray and the Bluetones album Too Far from the Bar. It is scheduled for a September, 18^th release date. I though this would be the perfect time to revisit my interview with Sugar Ray Norcia, which was originally published a couple of years ago.

I know these are hard times for many of you. My heart goes out to all the musicians whom I admire so much. To have your art and your livelihood ripped from you so suddenly, it is unimaginable to try and feel what you must be going through. Here at BLUES JUNCTION we still support the purchase of physical media CDs where you at least receive some remuneration for your efforts.

It is good to be back with you all after the terribly difficult month of July.
