With 2013 officially half over, I thought it would be good time to take some inventory on some of the fine recordings that have been released over the past six months. Here is boat load of great blues music from all over the world. Roughly half of these CDs are from the major blues labels (my favorite oxymoron these days), the others are independently released CDs. All of these recordings are in contention for album of the year and inclusion in our Best of 2013 edition which will be out in January of 2014. These recordings represent a wide variety of styles within the genre but all have one thing in common. They are damn good records.
